The Manoluck Hotel has been welcoming visitors since it opened in 1999. Like most of his staff, Assistant Manager Mr Chanthavong Somsavone was born and raised in Luang Prabang. After studying in Vientiane, he returned to his home town where he began his career in tourism and hospitality, working on the hotel's reception desk. Rising to the position he holds today, Mr Chanthavong’s aim is to introduce the fascinating history and culture of Luang Prabang to visitors. He and his team of hotel staff are on hand to make guests feel at home in the welcoming atmosphere of the Manoluck Hotel.
